A comment from Satoshi Wagahara (Original Author)
“I’ve been waiting for it more than anyone else. I hoped it would happen more than anyone else. However, in August 2020, I published the final volume of the series, “The Devil Is a Part-Timer! 21″, and I thought it wouldn’t be there anymore. I’m more surprised than anyone else. I’m looking forward to it more than anyone else. The person who came back next to you may be a visitor from another world. Please look forward to the new daily life of the Demon King Army gathering at Villa Rosa Sasazuka.”
A word from 029 (Original illustration / character design draft)
“Fans who have longed for an animated sequel for a long time, finally, the Devil Is a Part-Timer! The second production has been decided !! To be honest, when I got in touch with him, I was so surprised that he said, “Are you right now !?”
Isn’t it a dream with joy? I felt that. It’s been about 8 years since the first season of anime ended. After the broadcast, as you know, at autograph sessions, events and SNS, I always said “I want you to make a sequel” with the original author Wagahara and the cast members. I think the person in charge and the comicalize teachers had the same idea. During that time, there was no progress, and thanks to the original work, the final volume was reached in Volume 21, and I was just about to feel that the opportunity to draw a picture of the Devil Is a Part-Timer is finally gone …! Even after such a long time, I think that the person in charge and the animation production company who tried to start animation production will still be disappointed.
I’m glad that I was able to meet the expectations of readers and others, “Isn’t the second term yet?” And “I’m waiting for the sequel forever.” I feel that. Of course, I myself have never been so happy. I felt once again that the second production decision was made only with the support of many people. I hope it will become an anime that everyone will love. There will be a lot of new characters that haven’t appeared in the first term, so I hope we can watch over the new Demon Kings who are moving on TV together. I’m looking forward to it from now on !!”
