Popular adventure, fantasy manga series “Sousou no Frieren” (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) by Abe Tsukasa and Yamada Kanehito will go on a short hiatus after this week’s chapter. While the reason behind it hasn’t been revealed yet but we are hoping it’s not related to the author’s health. The series will most likely return and resume from September 2021.
Yamada debuted the manga in Japanese in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday on April 28, 2020. The manga’s 5th compiled book volume shipped on July 16, 2021. As of August 2021, the cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 2 million.
Aside from Japanese publications, the series has already been licensed for an English release by Viz Media. It’ll be available on Viz’s official website from November 9, 2021. They describe the manga :

The manga won both the 14th Manga Taishō Grand Prize and 25th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize 2021.
