by King of reverse harem anime Utano☆Princesama Maji Love is going to be adapted for a brand new film entitled Gekijō-ban Utano☆Princesama♪ Maji Love ST☆RISH Tours next year, executives of the franchise announced on Saturday.
Cast and Production
The film is being produced again in Studio A-1 Pictures, while Elements Garden (B-gata H-Kei, Dance with Devils) composes the music. The rest of the main staff and cast from the anime series are returning to reprise their roles.
The returning cast includes:
- Takuma Terashima as Otoya Ittoki
- Kenichi Suzumura as Masato Hijirikawa
- Kishō Taniyama as Natsuki Shinomiya
- Mamoru Miyano as Tokiya Ichinose
- Junichi Suwabe as Ren Jingūji
- Hiro Shimono as Shō Kurusu
- Kousuke Toriumi as Cecil Aijima
About the story
The first anime series Uta no Prince-Sama – Maji Love 1000%, aired in Japan in 2011 with Yuu Kou directing the series, Tomoko Konparu supervising the scripts, and Mitsue Mori adapting the game’s original character designs. Two years later, the second season followed, which comprises a total of 13 episodes. The series then received its third season in April 2015. The fourth season appeared in October of the following year.
The series won the 6th Seiyu Awards for Best Musical Performance in 2012 and was the 13th top-selling franchise in Japan in 2017.
