Takahiro & Takemura Youhei’s action harem fantasy drama manga Mato Seihei no Slave is getting an anime adaptation next year.
The news of the anime announcement has been leaked to the media by the upcoming issue of Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+, which will be officially released next week. Further details are not yet known.
Written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura, the manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s webcomic publication website Shonen Jump + from January 5, 2021. As of November 2021, eight volumes have been released and cumulative circulation of the series exceeded 800,000.

One day, a high school student named Yuuki Wakura was walking home from school when he suddenly gets lost in a Mato entrance. When he calls for help, he is immediately rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the chief of the Seventh Unit of the Anti-demon Corps. Recognizing his potential while also needing him to make her Peach power more effective, she ask that Yuuki join the Anti-demon Corps by becoming her slave, a position he might find more enjoyable than he initially would have thought…
About The Author
Yohei Takemura is a household name in the Shonen manga industry. His famous works include Ice Revolution, Nightmare Funk, Listen to Me, Girls!, Yae no Sakura, and more. In October 2000, he won the Newcomer Manga Award for the one-shot “Yubari Monogatari”, and received a semi-winning prize for “Meg Ryan no Kimi” at the 74th Tezuka Awards.
As for Takahiro sensei probably doesn’t need any introduction. He is the man behind Release the Spyce, Akame ga Kill! and Yuki Yuna is a Hero. He was also the original creator behind Girls Beyond the Wasteland.
