Indian Anime Network (“IAN”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a media and commerce platform celebrating anime and manga culture in India. We publish editorial content (blogs, interviews, quizzes, ebooks) and operate an online store selling original anime-inspired apparel and accessories. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights.

Applies to all personal data processed when you use our Site and Services, including browsing, account registration (if enabled), purchases, quizzes, newsletter subscriptions, digital downloads, and contacting support.

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address.
  • Order & purchase data: order history, product details, transaction IDs (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Technical & usage: IP address, device/browser info, pages visited, cookies/identifiers, referral data.
  • Marketing preferences: newsletter opt-in status.
  • User submissions: comments, quiz responses, reviews – only if/when these features are enabled.
  • Children: Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organisation or a country.

Some third-party providers may store or process data on servers outside India (e.g. Google Analytics). Where international transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards.

6. Payments & fulfilment

  • Payment gateway: Razorpay processes payments; Indian Anime Network does not store full card numbers. We may retain payment tokens or transaction IDs for reconciliation and refunds.
  • Printing & shipping fulfilment: our vendors handle printing and shipping. For fulfilment, we share the minimal required details (recipient name, shipping address, phone, product SKU). Payment card numbers or any details are not shared.
  • Transactional emails: Hostinger

7. Cookies & advertising

  • Essential cookies: required for cart, login, and checkout – served without marketing consent.
  • Analytics cookies: GA4 (Google Analytics) and Search Console data to improve the Site.

Confirmed: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console.
Planned / opt-in: Meta Pixel for remarketing — will only be enabled after user consent.
We may use other tools in the future; all non-essential tracking will require consent.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary. Default retention periods:

  • Orders & invoices: 7 years (tax/accounting)
  • Account data: 3 years after last activity
  • Marketing lists: until unsubscribe
  • Logs & analytics: 12 months (anonymized/aggregated where feasible)
    You can request deletion earlier; legal obligations (tax, fraud) may require certain data retention.

14. Your rights & how to exercise them

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent.
