ASMR’s first TV anime attempt “Can I Make Your Ears Happy in 180 Seconds?” will premiere in October this year

An ASMR-themed original TV short anime titled 180-Byō de Kimi no Mimi o Shiwase ni Dekiru ka? (Can I Make Your Ears Happy in 180 Seconds?) will premiere in October this year, series’s staff officials announced on their Twitter account yesterday. This is the first attempt in TV animation.

In case you are wondering about ASMR.ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.Basically, it is the nerve-tingling or relaxing sensation one gets in response to stimuli such as certain sounds or sights. In recent years, many ASMR videos have been posted on audio media such as YouTube, and ASMR videos by not only ordinary people but also talents, voice actors, and famous VTubers have become a hot topic, and it is exciting mainly for the younger generation. And now it spread its wings further afield into the mainstream entertainment industry. As the title indicates, the short anime will let viewers experience various forms of ASMR in 180 seconds. In the story, the heroine challenges her classmates to share in her hobby of recording ASMR works.

The anime’s staff includes Yoshinobu Kasai (Demon Lord, Retry!) as director (This anime is the first full series that Yoshinobu Kasai is directing) and Takayuki Noguchi (Angel’s 3Piece, Cinderella Nine, Girls Beyond the Wasteland, Higehiro, The Island of Giant Insects, Papillon Rose, Queen’s Blade franchise, Rail Romanesque, Ro-Kyu-Bu!) as character designer. The animation production will be from Indivision and EKACHI EPILKA.
